Perhaps some of you are right about allowing people on MOPO the freedom to be
complete idiots.

I probably acted too hastily in my seconding Rod be removed from MOPO as this
was the second post of his this week which I found offensive, ignorant and
showed a total lack of humanity.

In the future I may say or do something stupendously grotesque as well. I hope
you will forgive me in advance of that day.

Till then I'll be curious as hell to see where the line is finally drawn with
this bozo.

Im for free speech also.... and when I hear thers a Nazi ralley... my answer
is to not attend it or go and
stand ther as in just feeds the hate.... so taking people off the list
because they like to be biggots or
ant jew... doesnt stop the same... what I think turns people hearts is to be
educated and learn there are many grey areas in life.. But nothing surpasses
Love and peace and understanding amony all peoples

As far as pamdering recently passed artist for the sole purpose of
commercializing of the hardship or death

in my opinion is just tacky... In my case just before mr Jackson died today..
I spoke to a magazine dealer
that I wanted to buy monster mags , beatles and he said I have some Jacksons
stuff.... well years ago he offered them and I have soem " the jackson story"
however I told him today I tried to sell some to the Motown museum in detroit
and they didn sell. yet 1 hour later Michael died.. and I thought.. well now
they would sell... there were pallet full.. will I sell them????

NO...... why??? - respect........when Linwood Dunn died I knew his Daughter
and knew I could get all kinds of stuff includeing the fire engine model from
Its a mad mad mad mad world......
and so I didnt call............ another dealer bought it..... same with
Carson stuff and I happen to have a
standee of Ed Mcmahon ive had years.... _ NOT for sale............ If I had
farrah... and earlie r I was sent a email with all the farrah posters......

NOPE- After they have been gone awhile its ok in my opinion.. But there
needs to be a period of allowing respect to rule...... saem withe the Family
when people die they need time as they are vulnerable because they have had
loss... these dealers that go in while the family is upset are not being honest
or fair in my opinion.

However each dealer has there own set of standars and should not consider
mine as a Rule of thumb.

Ive lost many many many deals because I would not inquier and others did.

as far as joking about death.. My mom and I and brother made all kinds of
death Jokes as she was dieing in a Hospise and found it a great experiance to
be holding her hand as she took her last breath...

I was very lucky to have that experiance... so yes Humor helps when times are
stressed and sad...

    GUYS,
I agree with Franc 101% in his comment below. Yes Rod was ghoulish,
distasteful and almost shocking in posting such memorabilia mere hours after
Jackson dying. (Others may have felt it was scalding black humor especially
given how the Mexican Bordertown the quality of his buttons) But banning an
individual for poor judgement and behavior only creates our own version of the
OX BOW INCIDENT. And truly how much time IS appropriate before posting
memorabilia of a dead celebrity? I presently have a couple of rolled Farrah
Fawcett posters from the 1970's that came with a collection of 70's posters?
I just got through shooting them and then she rudely up and died. Now I
ask, should I wait a day, a week, a month? Did everyone pull listings
off Ebay of their JAWS posters when Roy Scheider died? Who here didn't
snicker at a "what wood doesn't float some 30 years ago?" Or when one found
out Ronald Reagan died who among us didn't wonder out loud "How could you
tell?"...........never mind the infamous "Teddy I think I'm
pregnant......We'll we'll cross that bridge when we get there or finally
lighting a match stick then zig-zagging in front of you ...LOOK RICHARD PRYOR
ON FIRE. Hell! Mr. Pryor himself LOVED that joke and used it to brilliant
effect in his post-freebase concerts.

No, outlawing poor taste on MOPO is wrong because then only outlaws will
have poor taste or taste bad.........good grief I sound like GW43.

As for the Mexican lobby card king, I don't agree at all with what he
said. It was tacky and tasteless but I disagree even more with those who think
censorship is the way to go. We live in America, not Iran. If you feel strongly
about it, don't bother opening this guy's e-mails.
