I have been called and offered the chance to see one or more of the
Universal fakes in person.
I want to make it clear that I am in no way saying that there is no chance I
would not possibly have been fooled by these fakes, had I seen them in
person. I would think that, given that some of the longest term horror
collectors were fooled by them, I might well have been fooled as well,
especially given the alarming growth of restoration ability among restorers,
which is clearly a two-edged sword.
I will report what I have seen once that happens.
Thanks to the person who made the offer. I hope he posts here so that he can
be thanked for this.
