I'd have to agree with Andy and Rich on the refund and block, but I'd also have
to press them a bit about just why they think they are fake.  I'd issue the
refund first, so as not to be presumed to be holding it back until an answer is
given.

The few times I've had someone with the ridiculous old "I thought I was buying
a video" complaint, I've always refunded, but had to ask in an email right
after, usually in a hat-in-hand, help-me-see-what-I'm-missing manner: What in
my listing and/or the original poster category the item was in made you think
you were buying a DVD.

Of course, most just don't answer (who, after all, wants to admit "I guess I
was just ate up with the dumbass" as they say here in the deep south), but some
do say that they just weren't looking closely and searched the title.

In your case and far more pressingly, the title of your email speaks volumes to
the need for this information: is this among the first cases of fake poster
paranoia, where everything from U Horror to late Godzilla to Hotel for Dogs is
going to be the subject of suspicion?  If we begin to experience an uptick in
returns on the unfounded basis of fakery, I suggest we share these potentially
troubling events as they occur.  Hopefully this won't become a standard in
these already troubling times (sales-wise, scandal-wise and otherwise-wise.)

Hi everyone,

I had an eBay session closing two weeks ago.

Today, I received back a package from one of the winners.

He sent back the following two posters:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350255178283&ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350255167484&ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT

with just a brief note instructing me to refund him because the posters are
fake.

Now, first of all, who will go to the extent to make a fake out of a military
style A&C ?

The posters are NOT linen backed, have fold wear and separation and are, as
anybody can see 100% original.

How would you deal with this person ?

Thank you for your input.
