I don't need to tell any of you that week in and week out I auction hundreds
of items that sell for low, low prices. But Thursday night's *270
linenbacked posters, all in "lesser" condition * (closing tonight, on the
15th of October) represent *REALLY* incredible values, and that includes a
lot of 1920s, 1930s and 1940s titles (and some 'better" titles from all
decades) that are currently languishing at low, low, prices!

*Why are all the 270 linenbacked posters we are offering this auction in
"lesser" condition?*
Three times a year we hold a mini/major auction with mostly linenbacked
items. Sometimes people consign posters that either were poorly linenbacked
to begin with, or they were roughly handled and were damaged after
linenbacking, or the poster had *LOTS *of defects that required a lot of
restoration. In all three of these cases, we don't like to auction these
posters in our mini/major auctions, because far too often people do not
carefully read the written descriptions of the items, and end up being
disappointed when they receive a lesser condition item, even though it was
clearly written in the auction description!
So we have gathered up all of the "lesser" condition linenbacked and
paperbacked items we have been consigned the last year or more and are
offering them in *THIS *auction, where you can know that all items either
are in need of additional restoration, or have had substantial restoration
(but of course, some people can live with condition defects in 50 to 100
year old items, and can display them just as they are!).
* PLEASE READ EACH ITEM'S CONDITION DESCRIPTION BEFORE PLACING A BID! *We
give a generalized description of what was wrong with the poster and what
restoration was performed, and the quality of that restoration, so if you
read that information first and then study our super-sized image, you will
surely have an excellent idea of each items problems!
* PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OF THESE POSTERS RANGE FROM "A LITTLE LESSER" TO
"A LOT LESSER"! Many of the ones that are just a little bit lesser are the
sort that many collectors can accept just as they are, or the sort that only
require a little extra restoration, and some of these may represent great
values!*
These items represent a wonderful opportunity for restorers (either
professionals or do-it-yourselfers)! You can purchase a poster in need of
additional restoration and have a wonderful opportunity to improve its
condition and then re-sell it at a significant profit (especially if you
consign it to an ethically challenged auction that does not describe the
amount of restoration each item has had!).
There are some rare and unusual items within this group of lesser
linenbacked posters, and some of them are either ones that never come up for
sale, or which normally sell for high prices, but *YOU* may get a chance to
purchase it at an extreme bargain price, because of its condition defects.

*MAYBE THE CURRENT LOW, LOW PRICES ON MANY OF THESE POSTERS ARE BECAUSE
BUYERS ARE NOT REALIZING THESE ARE CLOSING TONIGHT (THURSDAY)!*

With just 13 hours to go, the 270 linenbacked posters ending tonight include
15 that are still at $1 each (and they are *LINENBACKED*!), 43 are still at
$10 each or under, 94 are still at $14 each or under, and a whopping 121 are
still at $19 each or under!

Look at four examples (and these are truly just four of many, many,
incredible bargains):
