One option is a cheapo digital microscope.
Plugs into USB, magnification around X200 and I guess you can store pics.
Should be able to find one on the usual online auction site.
Don't know how good they are, but no lives are at stake, good enough I imagine.

Hi folks-
Its been a while since we have been given any kind of update on the Universal fakes story from any source (unless I have missed something, which is possible). I don't want to appear to be a nosey bug but was wondering about a few things. Have any more fakes turned up (besides Jim's CREATURE)? Are we any closer to a true "master list" of exactly what was duped and what was not? Probably we can't know how the federal criminal investigation is progressing but was wondering if indeed any movement is occuring towards bringing the masterminds of the plot to justice on a civil or criminal level? My own mind is at rest about an unrestored card that I have but I still have concerns about 1 piece that I have. Its a title card to the original Universal release of the Karlof/Lugosi film BLACK FRIDAY. Its had some ameteurish restoration but is not backed. It feels thicker than I am usually used to on lobbies. Does anyone know if these cards were on a heavier stock from that title?
Thanks in advance for any info./help.
     Steve
