That's where the export story comes in I think. Unfortunately i don't
have the poster with me. The pic is from the auction catalogue.
Decided to pick them up in the New Year for wife- and taxreasons and
have not had a closer look. Walked in the auction rather unprepared
(thought it was viewing day) and bought more posters than I intended.

This cannot be a poster for MABUSE.
UFA was not the production company nor distributor for that film.
Nero-Film AG was the prod. company.
UFA distributed the 1962 version on DVD, in 2005.
Also of note is that the word "Production" on this poster is the
english spelling of this word. In German, it would be spelled
"Produktion."

Hi, Wim:
Looking at it, I thought at first it might be for a German version
of The Picture of Dorian Gray. But as far as I can tell there was
only one German film adaptation of that story and it was released
in 1917 by another studio, not UFA (which had only just come into
existence that year).
I'd say from the style of the artwork, though, that you're
probably right that it's late 20s or early 30s. The style of the
logo could also offer a clue as to when it dates from. You might
go through some online examples of UFA posters and compare logos.

Hi, bought this UFA poster from the twenties on thirties. No clue
what it is. It's suggested that it might be an export poster
without titles.
Has anyone any info on this poster ior the export-story?
