I agree so many Polish posters are dark and depressing and disturbing and looks like they placed the artist on drugs before they made them paint....The one exception that clearly comes to mind....It's in Graven Images....the Polish Godzilla poster....that one is suitable for a nursery

There is another Pagowski who mostly draws naked women, but it is hard to believe it is the same person, and I imagine "Pagowski" is not an unusual name in Poland.
