It's an interesting lawsuit. As I suspected and indicated in yesterday's posting, Disney and Fox are not only suing for copyright infringement but they are also suing for trademark infringement. Should they have lost on the claim of copyright infringement alone, they can claim that elements in the posters in question are trademark protected and MG infringed these trademarks by reproducing these posters. I'm not familiar with all the films on the attached exhibits but they seems to be newer films, not the classics. I believe I lawsuit was limited to the newer material because Disney and Fox realize they don't have a very strong case in connection with the older film posters MG reproduces. FRANC
