Hi, Sue,
It was brought to my attention by Dave Lieberman that the photo of the
Help! one sheet was lifted from his site. (He wasn't upset). It's too bad
because I've purchased two of these one sheets and they are indeed
tri-folded and 100% authentic. It definitely would have suited the seller
better if
she'd taken a picture of the actual one sheet that was being auctioned.
I'd stake my entire reputation on the authenticity of these one sheets.
Maybe it's justified, but there's so much paranoia running rampant in the
hobby
that at times it's ridiculous. It's hard for me to believe that all of
these tri-folded Help! one sheets haven't been sold by now.

I did think that was strange. I looked at the picture and noticed it
wasn't a tri-fold but a linenbacked one sheet. The other thing that is
interesting about the Help one sheet, is that it is notoriously not exactly
27x41.
I have framed many Help one sheets. All have been folded, national screen
service style, and they often measure about 40 1/2. Many years ago when I
framed the first one, I noted the size and thought it might have been
trimmed, but all four quandrants of the poster were the same size, about 10
1/8"
instead of 10 1/4". However, I have linenbacked and framed many more and, as
I recall, they all turn out to be that same slightly undersized dimension.
I think there has been some talk here on the forum in past years about
that issue and mentioned in auctions when they are being sold. Perhaps there
are some straight 27x41's out there as there could be some from two
different print sources. I will also note that they could be posters that were
intended for foreign distribution as they were often pack and shipped that way.
