Greg is right.. and just by looking at fleaBay and seeing as the
"cast signed" posters for under $100 tells you how ridiculous it must
be for them to be authentic autographs
I saw a PF signed by 15 at $69
do people have any idea how difficult it is to get 15 top actors,
directors etc to sign something?
much less hauling around a poster to get 15 sigs??
If you had to pay for the signatures (as you do at any convention
etc), your cost for 15 would be from $150-$500, making it impossible
to profit selling signed posters at low prices
there are a number of known autograph forgers, and several known
dealers of phony autographs
that does not mean that the dealers do not also sell authentic
material, or that when you get 15 sigs poster that some of the
autographs are not real - that's one way they fool you! They get a
few lower level sigs, and forge the rest
I do have some authentic vintage material (like a Karloff, Doug
Fairbanks Sr and others)
most of them I got from an old man in Cleveland 25-30 years back who
obviously was writing stars during the 1930s and had a whole horde of
stuff and some I got from a former showgirl here in Vegas who knew
performers. But I won't buy anything from fleaBay from where I got a
couple forgeries years back.. and fleaBay did nothing..
you have to prove it to fleaBay, and therein lay the rub

If the crafty devils out there can counterfeit original Universal
stuff, then any monkey with a pen can fake an autograph. I
personally have always been prejudiced about signed posters; I'm all
about the image (both in my personal and poster geek lives.)
OK, that's my two stinking cents. As you were.

Thats the problem with identifying autographs. I have seen some
Zsa Zsa Gabor autographs that apper to be quite different to the
one on the poster but it is quite possible that this is her
signature in a different form to those that I have seen.
Provenance is very important when identifing autographs ie when
and where was the signiture obtained. There are plenty of examples
where signatures change dramatically according to the time and
place or the whim of the person signing.

Dave:
It look's like Zsa Gabor signed it.
