it is odd that ebay/paypal took that position against you, franc. outright unfair. i had a similar problem like that 5 years ago when an insured package got lost (and ultimately found).
yet, if you go to leave feedback NOW, at the top of the ebay page it says: Due to the impact of recent volcanic activity in Iceland on air travel across Europe, many international postal services have been delayed.
