Rich,

SO you were able to Track all these sent via Priority International?     What if you need a signature (as PayPal requires for over $200 protection)?   I have been using Express or Global Express for the tracking capability only, but if Priority Int offers this now then I will start using.   I just sent a lobby card to Hong Kong and express was almost $60.  BUt, if I don;t get that signature PayPal or my merchant bank won't protect me from chargebacks.

oh .. sorry.. wasn't thinking..
however I do know what measurements on those would be as I have them in my presets
a 4" tube is approximately 12 inches in girth
a 5" tube is approximately 14 inches in girth
a 6" tube is approximately 15/16 inches in girth.

I can tell you that in April we shipped many 44" and longer tubes due to the 40x60 sale (I wonder why you Kevin, did not bid on any of them as there were a number that you would have listed on your site)

shipping them to the UK cost between $24 and $42 depending on weight, if it was a 44 or 52" length and depending on whether it was a 4" or 5" wide tube (as those are the sizes we use). All o fthese were either sent via airmail or priority mail

Rich,

Girth is the measurement "around" the tube, 3-4 would only be about 1-2" in diameter. A 5-6" diameter tube (what I use for my one sheets I DON'T want to get crushed) would be around (I'm guessing as I don't have a tape with me). 15-18" in girth.

Kevin, a girth of 18-20 inches is a huge gigantic tube.
Glenn isn't sending that many posters.. just one. his packaging shouldn't be any "girthier" than 3-4 inches

also, Global Priority is supposed to give you a tracking #

just go to the USPS.com and calculate an estimare.   I just did one from LA to London, in a tube about 44" and girth of about 18-20".  You will be quite surprised ..whoever thought $25 was dreaming.        How about $130.  And UPS or Fedex?  DOUBLE or maybe even TRIPLE that.  Just go to any of their web sites and you can get an immediate estimate.

Can anyone tell me the cost of sending a linenbacked one sheet from LA to London, England via airmail or global priority? Using the standard gorilla tube?
Thanks in advance...
Glenn
