Hey, the only reason I'm not more cranked up about this is because the poster
is not rare and it didn't cost me $$$$. But just when you think you have
everything covered with a veteran you presume knows how to pack, she ignores my
signals and kicks the ball out-of-bounds. So stupid. I don't care the poster
isn't rare, I liked the design with the fresh colors and the printed (instead
of paper) snipe at the top. In the end, she decides to save a few bucks by
rolling it in a stupid triangular box which I told her not to do unless she
used a tube-within-the-box assembly to make things sturdier. She was
originally going to send it flat but she probably thought shipping a WC flat
was too much work. (It is, but so what?) This is what gets me about sellers
who nickel-and-dime on domestic shipping, even if I cover for it. They leave
things to chance and ultimately it catches up to them. I think some sellers
conscientiously pack more securely -- in DIRECT PROPORTION to the $$ they're
receiving from a buyer. Because if I had forked over $500 instead of $50, I
don't think she would've have taken any chances. Such bulls***.

Meanwhile, what in the sam-heck is it going to take to get one of you guys to
sell a "Lawrence" camel roadshow WC to me? I know you have them. And I know
you have an unfolded Lawrence Oscars WC too. They're scarce, but not THAT
scarce; there are 4 "camel" WCs out there right now for the "taking," but
they're backed, trimmed or have rolled-vein-folds. That's not being too picky,
especially when I'm not low-balling on price. If the Lazarsons (who I love),
are offering a restored "camel" WC for $300, I think offering $900-$1K for an
unrestored very good plus version is fair.  I guess I shouldn't complain;
during the past year, my "want ads" on MoPo have come through for WCs on
"Vertigo," NbyNW R66, Rear Window, American Graffiti insert, etc. I'm
grateful. I think it's mostly because I pay fast, I generally don't haggle,
I'm a collector, not a full-time seller, I pay retail, not wholesale. I even
sell extras to dealers for "wholesale" who need to mark them up later and I'm
fine with that. Geez... -d.

Lawrence of Arabia Oscars WC arrives in s*** condition.OK, MoPo'ers, take
a look:Despite excruciating shipping instructions to the seller of an
unfolded
"Lawrence of Arabia" window card -- for which I
paid an even $50.00 out-the-door for -- this is what arrived today:

The seller goes by "kandinsky55" at eBay.

Her original eBay posting is here:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110525153464

You already know what I'm thinking and how frustrated/angry
I am -- I paid $50 for this, hardly a rare item
-- but it was in super shape, no flaws.

I'm now looking for an UNFOLDED replacement for this -- and of course --
I'm
also still looking for the ROADSHOW STYLE, the latter for which
I'll pay $900-$1K in super condition. -d.
