Absolutely. There is no way to stop a consignor from calling a friend and having them enter a bid on their item. But my consignors *ALWAYS *pay the full commissions, no matter what, so it is an incredibly costly move to have a "friend" bid on an item if they then get "stuck" with it, because they pay my commission and shipping to their "friend", and they are still stuck with the item, which has a wonderful deterrent effect. I also don't allow people to "retract" bids, so that they can pull the scurvy eBay trick of using a fake bidder to expose the current high bidder's high bid, and then "withdraw" it, and later have someone else bid just under the max bid.
My goal is to always have 100% honest auctions, where all of the items actually change hands after the auctions end.
