Perhaps not the best venue but as a kid I was always brought to tears at the
ending to the BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (to the point my family would tease me)
with the monster saying to Henry and Elizabeth "Go! You live!", then turning
to Pretorius and the "bride" with a tear and saying "You stay. We belong dead."

Poor guy, with those huge raw emotions, knew the hope of love once in his
existence, only to be rejected. But he still knew the right thing to do.

Two most tearful endings to
me were:

Romeo and Juliet (1968
version Olivia Hussey & Leonard Whiting,  director-Zeffirelli)

One Potato Two Potato (1964 child custody case Barbara Barrie, Bernie Hamilton)

Natalie Wood had plenty of
everything except a Spanish accent.  Definitely was an outstanding actress
but gone too soon.

When I was a kid the ending to West Side Story was a killer to me except
that I could never get past Natalie Wood and the spanish accent. I love
Natalie Wood but, even as a small child, I thought the accent sounded so fake!

In a Lonely Place, no death at the end but a massive downer.

Titanic, tears of laughter.
