I have been* SO* busy the past ten years that I have seen few movies (which is funny, because in the 40 years before that I saw many thousands of movies). Part of it is because I much prefer the "theater" experience and I live in a small town with limited choices.
But my question to you is, "What films made in the past ten years would you HIGHLY recommend as being truly exceptional?" Know that I like movies of all genres, but I have a strong preference for well written movies, and ones with really good pacing, and few slow or throwaway scenes.
