Nosferatu 1922 immediately comes to mind.

So what other major silent titles are there where not a single U.S. poster of any size is known? I am unaware of any large original U.S. Paramount paper from the title still known to exist. I do know that a couple of the German one sheets for the international release (without titles) done by the great German poster artist Matejko, has traded hands over the years. -----Original Message----- From: MoPo List [mailto:[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>] On Behalf Of Evan Zweifel Sent: Saturday, September 25, 2010 11:08 AM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: Re: [MOPO] Anyone own or even see ANY original first release movie paper for The Golem? Didn't Heritage sell some lobbies from The Golem just last year? I seem to remember they sold for huge $$$ Evan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bruce Hershenson" <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, September 25, 2010 9:50:40 AM Subject: [MOPO] Anyone own or even see ANY original first release movie paper for The Golem? Peter and Ken were talking about trading for lobby cards from The Golem, and it occurred to me that I have NEVER seen any original first release U.S. movie paper for The Golem (not even a herald or glass slide, and I have had one or the other of those on just about EVERY hard-to-find classic title). I remember Stan Caiden had some foreign poster with cool art (but no writing at all), but that's all I remember. I THOUGHT maybe the reason for this was that the movie received a very limited release in the U.S., but I am currently auctioning an exhibitor magazine with an ad for The Golem on the front cover (see it at http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=1937259 so obviously it got a significant U.S. release, for they saved cover ads for major releases (and the cover ad says it broke a record in Chicago and "played all summer" in New York City). So where the heck are all the lobby cards and posters? -- Bruce Hershenson and the other 28 members of the eMoviePoster.com team P.O.
