Of course it is impossible to say from his crappy photo, but my inclination
is that it IS genuine from 1968. His other items come from an archive of a
TV magazine of the 1960s, and it seems quite reasonable that the studio
might have sent them a rolled version of this poster.

Of course, the price is another issue. This poster does not sell for much
over $100 folded, except on expensive dealers'  websites, so it is hard to
say that it is worth double that unfolded.

Personally, I think "Monkee-mania" is long dead and is never coming back.
They were an imitation Beatles group (who did some fine music), but as an
investment I would still to Beatles posters over Monkees posters any day!
