Some say they are selling for pennies on the dollar already. Funny true story. I got quite friendly with early collector dealer Bob Scherl when I lived in Los Angeles in 1989, and I had many enjoyable meals with him, and he showed me many early movies that were then impossible to find.
We were talking about many major dealers once, and the subject turned to Matt Schapiro. This was the tine when Matt had bulked up and always wore an expensive trenchcoat. Bob told me that whenever he saw Matt he felt that he was seeing the reincarnation of Moose Malloy, and that he always expected Matt to say, "Where's my Velma?"!
