But ...
Have y'all seen the art of Brini and Ballester on some of those posters?
Granted, the listings are in the wrong category, but if there are mistakes
being made, these errors are a decent fix for a poster graphic addiction.

ebay has CHOSEN to ignore this.  we have discussed on MOPO many times
that in the poster categories there are tee-shirts, coffee mugs, reproductions,
etc.  some members have contacted ebay, but to no avail in getting the
items removed.

of course there is frustration when you search for orig., american posters
and see tons and tons of foreign or reproductions.......  a gross
example of this is a seller that has just listed hundreds of foreign one
sheets in the USA category:

 http://cgi.ebay.com/STREET-NO-NAME-93-STEVENS-MOVIE-POSTER1948-/140537100405?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20b8a9f875

an occasional deviation is okay such as selling an auction book, an old
banner, or a great original collectible from a film WITH A CLEAR REFERENCE IN
HTE TITLE OF WHAT THE ITEM IS, but when miscategorization becomes
widespread, then it is wrong.

what about tons of lobby cards in the poster category.

i recall just last week excited to see a buy-it-now for a poster i
wanted with a good price, and then when i opened the page, i saw that it
was the title card and not the half sheet.  !!!

I just
looked through a lot of listings on EBAY for new Fixed Price

listings for "movie memorabilia-posters-original US" and almost all
  of
them were foreign posters from Europe in French, German,
  Italian,
etc.  What gives?  I thought EBAY had strict
  listing violation rules
on proper categories now.   You'd
  think their high-powered website
technology would be able to deal
  with this problem.
