Hi, I find incorrect category listings annoying to a degree, but I do not want eBay to be looking at my listings any more than they do. What should happen if you list in the wrong category (wrong category according to eBay? Another problem) do they suspend you? Kick your listing off without warning, even when you have $800 worth of bids?
When I sell a $300 over sized book I can't list it under books, eBay only allows a max of $4 for postage. If it goes to California...? More than $4. Same goes for records. I have very little good to say about eBay and it would be nice to have everything tied up into neat categories, but I am glad that they don't police everything. Anyway, the categories often make little sense. I thought EBAY had strict listing violation rules on proper categories now. You'd think their high-powered website technology would be able to deal with this problem.
