Hello Mopo Members --
I just wanted to notify you of a major change Paypal has made for
shipping EBAY purchases. When you go to print a shipping label on
Paypal now, you will be taken to a page that says Paypal Shipping by
EBAY or some such thing. Under this new page (which is totally
different looking), if you click on Pay for Shipping Charge, your
Paypal account will automatically be charged for the postage. In
other words, there is no longer a choice to pay for your shipping by a
credit card. I usually pay for shipping with an Amex card so I called
them. They had to said up a "preferred" payment method so that if I
have a zero balance in my Paypal account, they will charge my Amex
card now. Otherwise, this money would have been automatically taken
out of my bank checking account.
I hope all of this makes sense. I've tried to explain it as clearly
as possible. All I can say is be careful when doing labels under this
until you get it sorted out. I can't believe they did a major change
like this without notifying anyone.
