Folks-OK, Ebay is implementing another gestapo tactic on sellers. When is somebody gonna come up with a competitive site??

it already happened in 2004 when JR started MoviePosterBid

the simple facts are, that virtually no one supported the site.
The result was JR got tired of listening to people bitch about ebay, and not use the alternative, and he sold the site. Of course there would be growth issues (poor biz to start as things get promo and growth etc), but if people aren't willing to co-operate with the alternatives - they have no one to blame but themselves.

When I bought the site in 2006, I announced that I would maintain an open site to allow other dealers to list their wares and still, no one came. Now I'm no longer approving anyone to sell, as aside from those few dealers that did support MPB (and still do), I see no reason to allow others to compete with me from my own site for only a small fee. The dealers that have supported MPB don't make a killing, but they do make sales & they are appreciative, so I allow them to sell to show my mutual appreciation for them.

Now you have MoviePosterExchange.com that you can sell on if you like and I am certain it will be successful.

You have choices, but like any fledging business, you have to be willing to put in the work now so you can reap the benefits later. Anyone not willing to participate with the alternatatives in the growing pains of hard work so they can move away from ebay will only have themselves to blame and will continue to bitch & moan that ebay is screwing them.

There are solutions, but if people don't avail themselves of the solutions, then there are no answers
