this information comes from my Berlin based paper restorer (who frequently 
works for the Kinemathek and other institutions). Both he and the owner of my 
local frame shop (who's an expert in archival framing) both absolutely refuse 
to use Filmoplast.

Both Grey Smith and Kirby recommended the Lineco Repair Tissue, and I second 
their opinion, you can't go wrong with this one.
