Here are two pics of an actress that most people under 40 have completely forgotten. I'd never put Lana Turner on the top 10 of any list - (because Rita Hayworth will always be my fave). But the other day, an elderly woman gave my wife a number of tattered movie books - and I was going through one of 'em about Turner - and it was filled with awesome photos of her at the peak of her beauty, most I've never seen before. Below are two of the best. (OK, guys, get ready to "right-click" and save these on your computer.) The first image below is of Lana, age 25, during a break of "The Postman Always Rings Twice," from 1946. The second image is of Lana, age 34, on the set of "The Prodigal," from 1955. Lana has never "wowed" me - but these photos are pretty close to a "10" in my book. -d.
