Thank you for your reply. You are right about the “little” artwork. This was a
typo and therefore not supposed to be there.
The size of the population is not always an indication for how many posters
were/are printed and how many became/become available to the collectors market.
The rest is just a matter of personal opinion/taste. To each their own.

Enjoy your weekend!

"...Mexican lobby cards are normally B&W stills surrounded by a little

Actually, the MX LC has one of the highest densities of original art---of all
Movie Paper. Photographs, Illustrations, Drawings, Typography, Cast Members,
Ballyhoo, et al---all surround the b&w still inset. A cornucopia of original
Studio-produced imagery on each card.

The letters and words on the MX LC are Latin/Romance based---and evocatively
understandable. The Greek paper seems to have a single image, with a great
deal of arcane verbiage dominating the presentation.

Abundance? Mexico has 10X the population of Greece.

...and a very well respected "Golden Age of Cinema".

I would rather not get into yet another pissing contest re MX Paper.
Especially with Europeans; and most especially with fine poster dealers from
the Netherlands.

One of my largest sales ($50k) was to a collector in Amsterdam.

Nuff said.

It doesn’t do justice to Greek poster to qualify them as (Mexican) lobby cards
because they share some similarities with them. Unlike Mexican lobby cards that
are so abundant and are normally B&W stills surrounded by a little artwork;
