well, it's also against eBay rules to sell re-release posters and present them
as originals , now that is a rule that makes sense ...
i recently bought a chris marker dvd from a greek seller , but dvd was mailed
from korea , i don't know how the eBay seller and the dvd seller work things
out but i received the dvd really fast so i don't care too much about some
"rules" really . as long as you get what you paid for it's all fine with me .
better then to receive what you paid for this way then getting a re-release
thing from the dishonest seller who actually has the actual item at his place
whilst it's on eBay .

As a seller i personally would never sell this way in not having the items
myself here but if other sellers can work this way and all are happy then
that's cool .

It is against ebay rules to list an item if you do not have it in your
possession.

Hi to you all

A buyer recently told me that he purchased a poster
from a seller on ebay and was told that the item was on consignment from a
third
party in another country. The interesting thing is that the seller did
not actually have the poster. He had apparently made an agreement where the
consignor would send it to him only if a sale was made. To me, that seems
to open up all sorts of potential problems. What if the consignor changes his
mind despite the fact that the sale has been made? What if the poster turns out
to have more issues than expected bearing in mind that the seller has not
physically handled the poster? What about shipping delays caused by the double
handling?

I'm just curious as
to how this works. Have you come across dealers who sell posters
on consignment without actually holding the posters? Have you ever consigned
posters in this way? Have any sales worked out well for you?

Regards
John
