Well Alan...
There's windfalls and then there's WINDfalls! Ours is the former, not exactly
F**k You Money, but enough to pay the bills From Now On with the occasional
special treat , like trips, new guitars, and...posters, if I behave (it's my
wife's inheritance).
While I won't be getting that original King King 3 sheet anytime soon, I'd
settle for getting back my "Invisible Ghost" Astor one sheet I bought from Deke
Richards years ago. (I miss old Deke.) I love the lecherous image of Bela, and
the Astor R poster had much more color saturation than the original Monogram.
Sadly, I sold much of my treasured collection when the economy tanked. When
it's
the house or the posters? Hello!
Happy to say that, along with my wife's financial fortunes much improved, the
music business is treating me wonderfully these days. Just got back from the
UK,
heading to Italy with Big brother & the Holding Co., working with The Electric
Flag as Mike Bloomfield's surrogate...what an honor!...and there is just so, so
much wonder going on musically in my life right now, with much solid financial
gain. Who'd have thought that a 64 year old guitarist would suddenly improve
dramatically?.
But I still want Bela back. And maybe that "I Was a Teenage Werewolf"
insert..and...see what you started, Alan?
Best to all,
Greg Douglass

thanks to some financial windfalls...finally!...I may get back in. Thanks for
helping to drag me back with your usual wit, wisdom, and complete lack of
coherency. I'll send you the bill.
