seriously Greg Ill make you a package deal on some reprints I have
frankenstein the Mummy , dracula, and a few more that are shot off
original artso the images will be same just if they get stole or
damaged or anything they wont break the bank... so you get the instant
ambiance of the films you like and you can spend the rest on trips with
the wife, home repais, guitar stuff and this wont depress you...thats
exactly why ive been selling reprint material since 77 as I myself
whenI decorated my office in my 20s didnt have big bucks,, I actually
bought my desk used at a salvation army and the whole office of
memorabilia was just re-purposed film memorabili the only thing i payed
retail for was the posters... portals are out of print now,,,,I spoke to
the owners a few years back they now serve musems and more doing on
demand posters from archives digitally... as we worked with them for a
artist I rep as they supply Henry Ford musem in Dearborn,,, you can buy
all kinds of vintage images on deman now so thats what happened to
portal.. there was also Ira Roberts in Beverly hills I have the french
dracula they made.. there was celestial arts of san fram and poflack in
Illinois or Indian Michael savagaue... he was the 1st guy to print color
catalogs I knew of although Bruces stuff is great and I have some ofthe
1st Heritage catalogs thattare awesome.... everyone has done so much
forthe hobby its been so cool seeing it turn into bigtime auctions ,,,
buy mu lolaty belongs to the Movie peopel and the fans and genuine
moviegoers that just love movies lke you Greg... I remember the smell of
the tradeing card gum and powder on it the feel of the monster mags and
watching the b&w classic s on the afternoon or late night sat
spookshows.. it was fun..and i built mmy few aurora model kits that
where 1.98 and always rushed them didnt wait for the glue to dry..and
the testord paint... lets face it the box art was as cool as the kit
itself... let me know if you want me to work up a lot

Well Alan...
There's windfalls and then there's WINDfalls! Ours is the former, not
exactly
F**k You Money, but enough to pay the bills From Now On with the
occasional
special treat , like trips, new guitars, and...posters, if I behave
(it's my
wife's inheritance).
While I won't be getting that original King King 3 sheet anytime soon,
I'd
settle for getting back my "Invisible Ghost" Astor one sheet I bought
from Deke
Richards years ago. (I miss old Deke.) I love the lecherous image of
Bela, and
the Astor R poster had much more color saturation than the original
Monogram.
Sadly, I sold much of my treasured collection when the economy tanked.
When it's
the house or the posters? Hello!
Happy to say that, along with my wife's financial fortunes much
improved, the
music business is treating me wonderfully these days. Just got back
from the UK,
heading to Italy with Big brother & the Holding Co., working with The
Electric
Flag as Mike Bloomfield's surrogate...what an honor!...and there is
just so, so
much wonder going on musically in my life right now, with much solid
financial
gain. Who'd have thought that a 64 year old guitarist would suddenly
improve
dramatically?.
But I still want Bela back. And maybe that "I Was a Teenage Werewolf"
insert..and...see what you started, Alan?
Best to all,
Greg Douglass

I like Greg’s post -
Here’s the question -
If you had a financial windfall - What poster would you go after as
your holy
grail!

Thanks for
helping to drag me back with your usual wit, wisdom, and complete lack
of
coherency. I'll send you the bill.
