anyone who has neverbeen burnt by someone in showbizness, probably has never really been in showbizness,,, as it goes with the turf.. I asked Mel Blanc... can I stay honest and stay in this Business? he laughed and said.. well just know there aresome Godpeopel and some not so good people'' try to network with as many God ones as you can...I lke Alans remark ' to try to have memorys of the good experiences as being bitter or not forgeting is what eats us alive...some never recover after a letdown or loss or beeing burnt... I remeber the day when I was griping about ideas being stolen b Universadl studios... they said literally .." Tom dont take it so personal we do this to everybody" its the law of Hollwood ..plagerism..when they see a good movie, or a product, script, idea.. they uses it as a templete to make another kinda lke when they made the Monkees after the Beatles... recently I was in a salvaton army store and found a bootleg of my product a Director megaphone that isthe most common one you will see based on my exact design.... when I designed it I didnt have a model I made it from my minds eye with a variety of materials thata where not used on original megaphones.. as they where vulcanized fibre with metal mosutpeices so I used Polypropylenen and had it extruded to my specs and used parts from a variety of things and even he way i printed the megaphone was with a line under director in Gold ink.. a Los angeles store tousist shop bought them then one day said we are gong to copy you... I thoughtOK... you mean a variation of mine? well the one I found is a carbon copy... and actually they did a ok job .. as itlooks lke mine witha few slight differences.. at 1st I was bummed as its a finacial loss and also it makes me look like I could be the copycat so it dilutes my originality... But then thought wait... if the are copying me it mus be because peopel lke my stuff and ideas.. so its really a compliment as if they dont copy you they thnk your items are poor,,,, what added insult to injury was Iwas sick and couldnt compete because I couldnt use my foot... Ironcally I use my fot to crimp the rivets in my products so i had to put it on hold..Buyt I look at it as a spiritual builder and fact is I can keep creating new ideas and be a trailblazer instead of a copycat..I like to invent and tinker as a fun thing..Spielberg said he dreams for a living,, well thats what do also I see myself as part archivist to find stuff...I just got a call of a man that had projectors films cameras and all kinds of obselete movie gear..I lke it as the craftsman that bult it took pride in the work and designed it like art and it chronicalled pop culture and history.. they used Band howell filmos in the ww2 that shot all footage and Zaprudur caught that famous Kenndy footage on a home movie camera... In this lot I got family home movies that could conatain everything... old blackhawk and castle films.. and a huge selectin of 50.60 70 80s adult fikm and stag films.. if anyone knows anyone into the erotica ill make a package deal..I hought wwowow this is part of history that may be lost as it was so taboo... I remeber seeing deep throat and devil in mrs jone s in like 72 when I was like 17-18? also sa Blaze Starr do live Burlesk... anyways,,,I also got a thunderbird projector.. these where sold in the back of comics to play 8mm films and it works.. very cool pop culture..some of the cameras are froze up.. i try to lubricate and get them working but they still look cool ona shelf as examples of old amatuer cameras thats captured much history and wheer used by budding filmmakers everywhere..some of theprojectors are tough as partsare hard to get and they weigh 50lbs.. but I dont do it for Big profits,,, I like the old stuff for the fact of seeing the evolution of cinema and the technical changes and being able to share it with peopel very inexpensivly..I filled my Toyota matrix with all kinds of stuff , cans , reels , even old polaroid stuff some 35 mm and even unopened film stock..several things i never saw a 16mm stewart warner 1movie camera from Hollywood,, never had one..lots of goodies I wan to move fast as this is the Catch and release program now so in and out is my goal..besides the 77 year old collectors stuff now I which gives me have this hardware,,that gives a warm fuzzy feeling.. my foot still has a ways to go before its healed and i will not run again docs say... as my ankle is fused froze no flexibility at all.. but I can walk. carefully they will cast my foot in mid nov (its been since may 2013 my foot was reconstructed) and in about 8 weeks after Ill have custom molded diabetic shoes..( i have ben in a Big black boot about a year and half and had a wound almmost 3 years open.)so hopefully I can try to make a few items not any big quantitys but so I can pay bills and stay afloat..I am thankful for everything and everybody.. even the bootleggers and all as i guess people want to emulate when they like something..we all learn from many experiences.think how many secret films there where under wraps.. like Blue Harvest... etc..the hardest part is to not take it personally.. and keep on and fight back by helping others by being a dream builder and sharer instead of dream stealer or crusher\IMHO-Tom
each day is a gift when we look at it carefully.

Scam artists.... and they should have been ashamed of themselves.. to
have ripped our company off.

Plain and simple facts, Alan.

For AIP fans only!

I pitched the great Sam Arkoff a woman’s prison comedy -
Spent a couple hours with him in his penthouse in the 9000 building on Sunset Blvd.
He sat behind a huge desk, chomped on his cigar and laughed.
And the whole time I was dreaming of AIP double bill press books.

For Tarzan and Serial fans!

Had lunch with Buster Crabbe across the street from Arkoff’s 9000 suite at the Hamburger Hamlet a couple years before that. Crabbe was supposed to be one of the first Hollywood heath nuts, but drank milkshakes and chain smoked instead of eating.

For Fox fans!

Had dinner with Richard Widmark at the Palais de Chaillot overlooking the Eiffel Tower on the Night of Music - Pretty amazing visuals - but he was so burned out I can’t remember if he made sense out of anything.

For pot heads!

Spent the afternoon in a lunch room locked down under a bomb threat - with Cheech and Chong!
Cheech was a sweetheart - Tommy not so nice - probably needed a hit.

For Demi Moore fans!

I worked as a writer and producer on Demi’s first film - Parasite 3D. She was 18 when she walked in for the part - said about two sentences and I immediately took her into Charlie Band’s office - read lines with her - and I think we hired her on the spot as I remember. My soon-to-be-wife at the time and I used to go dancing at Madame Wong’s on Sunset when Demi's husband Freddie Moore played punk rock on stage there.

For the rock elite?

Spent some time in Cherie Currie’s make up trailer looking at her rock and roll scrapbooks - (She was a real sweetie - also in Parasite 3D - lovely death scene!).
