I think I understand Morrie...he probably invested much timme and money building he collection..he wants to make sure and see in his lifetime where the collection goes.. and as far as money he wants to leave a chunk to his family. and leave the collection behind for somone who will store it and if need be sell it..I have nnot spoke to him But Im sure he would like to see a museum or somone with the finacial power to obtain it buy it... Personally I think it would be perfect for George Lucass new museum in Chicago and should be offered as a lot 1st instead of breaking it up... even if one tryed it would take a lifetime to even attempt this collection... I also think the academy and all should band together and go in with George and also Steven..and other film historians.. with the stipulation that the archive images will be shared with peopel , general public.. they could rotate actual exhibition and make avalible as a resource at the Museum.... it would save the Images, show history, and provide a education in film for many generations..I beleieve the Academy should Give Morrie a honorary Academy award Oscar® for saving this material as the entire film industry is based on the films represnted in the collection.. fora group of investors to simply obtain this collection for commercial explotation is a insult to Morrie and the motion picture indusry and history...its more then just a collection its a Film history treasure that should be sustained and preserved...not in a warehouse but a climate controled state of the art enviroment, digitized and stored as its also a collection that should be shared By the entire world not just a few wealthy collectors..IMHO George Lucas could do this,, and he has access to others if he needs funding like Paul Allen and others... also if structured right they cold get tax abatement and sell bonds etc.. to finance.. I hope someone sees the historical significance to the collection as a complet body of work...selling off parts would be lke selling rell 1 or 3 ofa six real feature film and leave it incomplete.. this took a lifetime to assemble. why break it up now? Morrie should be well rewarded finacially and also as a arhivist/historian as he Put this together with much hard word, time and money and stored it all these years
Dont Let this one Get away George !

So.....if it does end up in a museum with little to no access by the
public........how will that be any different than where it is stored
now? I'm sure Morrie shows it to friends every now and then....but
really, we are a tiny community (movie poster collectors). And I doubt
he has collectors banging on his door every day wanting to see it.

If this goes to a museum, the collection will probably see public
access on never-never day. Remember the final scene in Raiders of
the Lost Ark?

Each and every one of the large museums all over the world has a
vault like that, with tons of treasures that may never see the light
of day for another thousand years or so.

The best solution I can think of would be an investor who’s able
and willing to OPEN a museum for this collection.

So here’s to all you big-money guys out in Mopo-Land: How does
‚The Morris Everett Jr. Movie Poster Museum‘ sound to you?

Just my two cents.

There is a chance that a museum who will ultimately make public
access possible will buy the collection.
