California has just passed an extremely onerous law (AB-1570) that requires sellers of autographed items to provide a ridiculously detailed Certificate of Authenticity. For now, I'm thinking that on the rare occasion that I do have an autographed photo or lobby card for sale, I will prohibit sales to residents of California, but frankly, I'm not sure if that is enough to avoid having to issue COAs. What are the rest of the dealers doing in connection with this? I am curious to hear your response.
