*U.S. 24-sheet poster for Joseph L. Mankiewicz' film THE QUIET AMERICAN (1958) starring Audie Murphy and Sir Michael Redgrave. This was the first time the novel by British author Graham Greene was filmed, and it is a respectable version. Made during the run-up to the VietNam War in Saigon, Ho Chi Mihn City and at Cinecitta. We have not photographed the 24 sheet and I don't know the condition specifically. This is a scan from an online pressbook, and the quality of this scan is so-so. It's a reasonable bet that the 24 sheet is in color, but this pressbook was duotone. This film would certainly be one of the high points of Audie Murphy's career.Available now.
