Just to complicate the story, when these sizes were reintroduced after World War II, they were actually listed in British pressbooks as three sheets and six sheets. This was because they were now produced for promoting British films overseas and needed to be named consistently with the US posters. In fact if you look in these pressbooks intended for use overseas they are often described as "American sizes" (along with the British one sheet). Meanwhile, of course, the Quad had replaced them as the standard poster domestically. Regardless of terminology, though, it's great to see the whole collection now, so thanks Mel for this latest update. What some of the posters lack in accurate portraiture, they gain in colour! Fantastic. Wish there were a few more Hitchcocks tho... US and UK poster sizes have some confusing terminology that they share.
