Walter,

BLADE RUNNER is a nightmare title indeed. For way over twenty years, I had
successfully managed to evade the minty-white inserts, until I ended up
purchasing a fake BLADE RUNNER on ebay earlier this year. Unfortunately, I had
failed to do proper research before my purchase: The fake inserts are slightly
cropped on the left side, with a small detail of the image missing. More
unfortunate, the back of this insert is not at all minty-white anymore, so even
when I held the poster in my hands, I did not recognize it was fake.

Alas, the rolled BLADE RUNNER I currently have in stock does match Tim's
description: Size is pretty much exactly 27x41, with very small Printed in
U.S.A. in the left, nothing in the middle, and NSS 870007, both clearly
legible, with no ghosting. Title is dark, somewhat rusty red:

I purchased this together with other late 70s/ early 80s posters and I have
absolutely no doubt about its authenticity. That the seller turned out to be a
crook later on is a story for another day, but his posters were all legit.

However, if you want a TRULY RARE poster for this title, take a look at this
one in the upcoming Heritage Auction:

Cheers,

Helmut
