Hi Helmut, I started collecting posters in 1963 and bought quite a bit in the 1970's and 1980's and always tried to buy what I liked and the best of the best.
The poster business is not what it use to be and I actually think it pretty much sucks these days. If I bought extremely rare comic books the way I bought posters, I definitely would be much better off today. There are just so many more comic book collectors than movie poster collectors and even the rarest comics aren't that rare. For most of the material from that time you now get cents on the dollar. If you can sell them at all. If they had put their funds in movie posters, they would be way better off today.
