Rich, the ridiculous Paypal fees are not limited to ebay. When somebody sends me money and I refund the full amount, Paypal still charges me some kind of 'transaction fee'. It's 'only' 40 cents or something, but for an enterprise like Paypal it should add up to a nice extra profit.
It seems to me that 'ebay managed payments' is exactly what I expected it to be. I'm so glad I closed my ebay shop instead of prolonging my subscription for another year. I could use the extra income of course, but with all the hassle involved, it's just not worth it.
