Thanks for the link, Scott. I have a weird backstory with Xanadu. At UW-Madison, my brother (med school) and I (music and theater) shared an apartment until he married (another med student) Found a pretty decent roommate who unfortunately left after less than a year. Helpfully she provided a replacement who was pleasant enough but seemed allergic to actually paying rent. (Female Wimpy who was gladly going to pay me soon) Former roommate asked me to take new one out for her birthday. Back then, hadn't yet learned "no" Turns out new one was a huge ONJ fan and wanted to see Xanadu (playing locally then) Vividly remember suffering through the "trainwreck" (well described) Gene Kelly cheered me up a little bit and ONJ had a sweet voice. But the nonsensical dialogue and roller disco overload? Anyway roommate was ecstatic. She left for wherever shortly afterward absolutely promising to send back rent. Cutesie postcard arrived a month later - no return address - thanking me for Xanadu. Never paid. Nathalie
