I have purchased around 20 Mondo prints primarily because I like the
alternative and creative artwork. I went to a Music poster show in San
Francisco a few years ago and many of the prominent artists were there selling
their artwork and I think they have probably been doing this with Music posters
long before Mondo, etc.

There are so many original movie posters that have disappointing art and it is
good to see something new and different. However, I think they are a bit of a
minefield if you are looking at them for an investment. I also feel that the
fact that they release so many "variants" of the originals don’t help and it is
obvious that some artists surpass others. It seems that there are also
different print runs with some signed and numbered and some just numbered and
some not numbered at all (still not sure how that works!). Prints from Laurent
Durieux seems to be the most sought after. I have checked sales history on some
of the posters I have purchased and there are some wild fluctuations so its
always a good idea to do as much research as you can before buying. I wont be
holding my breath for massive price increases. I think it is best to just buy
them if you like the artwork and don’t have expectations beyond that.

Regards to all
John
