Yes, I noticed that, too. You’d think Julien’s, as a professional auction
company, would do the work and provide complete condition reports. Especially
considering how pricey the reserves appear to be on many of these items.

Hopefully any serious collectors have enough sense to ask for a more thorough
condition report before bidding. But the lure of owning a real batarang may
cause some to throw (condition) caution to the wind.

This is definitely a “buyer beware” kind of auction.

Cool auction Scott!

But is there ANY collector ANYWHERE who isn't chilled to the bone when they
read this?

" The absence of information regarding condition in this lot description does
not indicate that no condition issues are present. Please contact us for a
condition report, and with any questions prior to bidding. It is the bidder's
responsibility to request a condition report in order to determine their own
opinions on condition, provenance, and validity before placing bids. Condition
reports are rendered as an opinion by the staff of Julien's Auctions and not as
statements of fact, we are not responsible for any discrepancies between this
information and other opinions. Condition reports are provided as a courtesy to
assist you in assessing the condition of the lot. In accordance with the terms
and conditions of sale, as agreed to by bidders upon registering for an
auction, all sales are final and all lots are sold "as-is." "

While not a real movie poster auction, the catalog for this Juliens auction in
LA is fun to look at, especially for boomers and classic TV fans. There are
some movie posters for a few TV shows that made it to the big screen (Munster
Go Home, The Man Called Flintstone and Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear) and one that
went the other way (Lassie).

Take a look:

Who doesn’t need the Riddler’s ??? Suit Jacket or a Batarang from “Batman,” or
a lighted AB sign from “American Bandstand,” or how about a “Price is Right”
logo sign used in the studio? There’s even the chalkboard signatures of
celebrities that appeared on “What’s My Line” in the 1960’s.

An interesting collection of items for sure.
