It's been a long time ago but it was fun. I was in college and got to do some fun things. There is an old Rollo candy commercial where the Rollo's are dancing out of the tube of candy. I'm one of the Rollo's!! I think I was about 19 or 20. She build the Banana Splits and the specialty costumes for the McDonald's commercials, like the Hamburglar, Grimace, Mayor McCheese and so on. I use to sit below the camera as they filmed the commercials as I controlled the electronics for Grimace to get his eyes to rotate and other facial features. She, of course, did costuming for many of my favorite films like Star Trek, Star Wars, Blade Runner and a zillion more. But I loved the specialty costumes the best. My oldest daughter who turned 39 today was the original model for costumes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and my best friend was the model for Gumby..... They were so fun.....she passed away a couple of years ago and I miss going to the shop to see the current creations.....those were fun days......

It brought back a lot of memories. My step Mom was head of wardrobe at CBS for many years before she started her own company, J&M Costumers. She built the costume for Wonder Woman and I remember seeing the fittings with Lynda Carter....brought back a lot of memories.... There are some movie posters for a few TV shows that made it to the big screen (Munster Go Home, The Man Called Flintstone and Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear) and one that went the other way (Lassie). Take a look: https://www.juliensauctions.com/en/auctions/channel-surfing-a-broadcast-to-binge-auction Who doesn’t need the Riddler’s ??? Suit Jacket or a Batarang from “Batman,” or a lighted AB sign from “American Bandstand,” or how about a “Price is Right” logo sign used in the studio? There’s even the chalkboard signatures of celebrities that appeared on “What’s My Line” in the 1960’s. An interesting collection of items for sure.
