how about me? I leave a lot to be desired.
I'm thinking that I say thinks that have a negative effect and that there
should be a way for me to speak my mind without blocking off further
communication.

A few years ago I told you to cut the crap when you said something like 'I'd
die without my painting'.
Maybe that is a female way of stating a particular sentiment, I have
certainly heard other females use that 'I'd die without' phrase.
Months later I realised I had a similar feeling but one I expressed to
myself in a different (maybe male) way: 'Life is not worth living if it
doesn't include..' such and such.
