marsha said: First, being enthralled with my iPod, I was looking for mp3 versions of Nietzsche's books and found this wonderful website: http://librivox.org/newcatalog/. Wow! Librivox offers mp3 books that are in the public domain (free). I've already downloaded Nietzsche's 'Twilight of the Idols', 'Beyond Good and Evil' and James's 'Essays of Radical Empiricism'. Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!!! Back to Nietzsche, I've just finished listening to 'Twilight of the Idols'. Why do I have so great a love for Nietzsche? Because he is not a storm, but a Category 5 Hurricane.
dmb says: Yes, Librivox is great and the price can't be beat. Beyond Good and Evil was assigned reading for one of my classes. So I put it on my iPod. That way, I can do my homework and yard work at the same time. I got particularly good scores on that assignment and the yard is ready for winter. That's pretty wonderful - in a mundane, domestic sort of way at least. I heard some Rorty by way of a podcast recently. He said that most Germans think pragmatism is just what the Americans could get out of Nietzsche. In Rorty's opinion, however, Dewey and James did what Nietzsche did only they did it better, with more coherence. I hope that's true. _________________________________________________________________ Connect and share in new ways with Windows Live. http://www.windowslive.com/connect.html?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_Wave2_newways_112007 Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
