To begin to heal, I must believe that things are relative.
Trail of tears, Auschwitz, Baton, the list goes on.
the U.S. gov. is an abstract ideal not a concrete entity.
an abstract Ideal embraced by humanitarians, bigots and
opportunists alike. Those events must be remembered, not as
atrocities committed by our gov. but representative of injustice
and tyranny even in the most free of societies as a call to
vigilance. It should speak to the sensibilities we hold today.
It should call them into question as a standard to measure
our current policies.
Here is a documentary about the Trail of Tears. It indicates that the
high ideals of the Founding Fathers were not all that is stated. Down
