Welcome Gerhard,

With ZAMM finished, you are done with the first half of
what Pirsig was set up. Lila, though less popular
with the general reader, is more rich in what it gives
to the reader of Quality and the full first picture of
the Metaphisics of Quality (MOQ).

Feldenkrais is a very Dynamic practice and it is
useful for you (and a wonderful opportunity) to
observe departures from the ordinary, the habitual
every day. Watch the unexpected...

As to the philosophy in this group, much of it is
not what arises from Quality, but rather an attempt
on the part of many who understand the world
through the Ideas inside-of-which they grew up
and how those relate to Quality.

Much as how someone who has walked and run
their whole life appears as they begin to learn to
swim. Limbs first operate in the "dog paddle,"
which is the familiar land-motion. Later they learn
more efficient strokes. Philosophy argued is
often personal attempts to filter the new through the old
and familiar. (After all, everything we experience
we categorize relationally, as biological beings.)

It took me the first five or six times reading Lila before I
began to get comfortable enough to approach MOQ on
its own terms.

I hope the effects of your illness abate.

good luck,

thanks--mel

On the other hand, maybe my interest in philosophy started because I met
quality in the Feldenkrais method.
