Hi,

I've read ZAMM and am about to read Lila (in german). I am very impressed, but
I'm not (yet) capable of discussing philosophical things, but I hope I can
inspire some people on the search for quality to look for it in other places.
On the other hand, maybe my interest in philosophy started because I met
quality in the Feldenkrais method.

Actually I just would like to suggest some "practises" on how to experience
quality. I'm electrical engineer and fresh feldenkrais teacher (unfortunately
non practising) and severly ill (that's why not practising). I recognize now
that I was in my whole life searching for quality. One of the biggest light
bulb moments was to do feldenkrais lessons and during the feldenkrais training
the word quality ist said many times during a day. Several times in a lesson.
So if you want to experience quality within your body immediately and (for me)
with guarantee you could do feldenkrais lessons. Best would be to find a
practitioner, that's the best quality. But for the impatient here is a link
with free material. (funny I see now that a patient goes to a feldenkrais
practitioner - but there he is called client. and an impatient doesn't. I'm
usually impatient).

The Feldenkrais Method is training your sense for quality. You are seeing more
quality when you did a lot of Feldenkrais. I also discovered that you see lack
of quality in Feldenkrais teachers as well. But because the method is "pure
quality" this doesn't matter so much, because you are only interested in
improving your quality or your way in looking at the quality in the world.

Becuase of my illness I came to a second big light bulb moment which concerns
the quality of food. Did you know that some people found out that there is food
for human beings that fits best the genetic inheritance of human beings? This
should be not very surprising because all of us know that every animal usually
needs its proper food. I cannot explain it so well as Dr. Schnitzer does it in
his web site and books and I just want to give the link for further studies of
your own. Due to my illnes which concerns digestions, I experience that the
food proposed by Dr. Schnitzer is most easily digested and provides even in my
case of very defect digestion all nutrition that my body needs. And even that
I'm sick which I sense all the time, in some way I feel better than I did
before. E.g. I can think more clearly and am less occupied with digesting and
being tired.

I hope you don't wipe this e-mail out because it might not fit in this group
but I would like that the interest in quality grows in the world.

I would feel great, if someone could forward this information to Robert Pirsig.

Gerhard

P.S. Another thing I just found is "zettelkasten" by Niklas Luhmann.
Unfortunately I don't know the right name in english and the english wikipedia
doesn't talk about it. It's basically a card system like R. Pirsig mentions in
Lila. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luhmann I didn't try it but there is a lot
of german software that I would like to check out. Is there english software as
well? (I just found some for mac http://www.eastgate.com/Tinderbox/).
