most people on this list don't understand the MOQ!
however i am definitely in favour of silly moustaches

Chris replies:

What most people here doesn't seem to understand is that Lila (and ZMM) is a book where the foundation of a philosophy is laid. In between that there is a lot of examples of how the author tries to place things he sees around him within the frames of that philosophy - but that - no matter how nicely written - is only examples from one mans view. The MOQ is much, much larger than both Lila, ZMM and Mr Pirsig himself. If one understands it's core, then one can begin looking at things in a whole new way, and an infinite number of things in this world can begin to be addressed from this point of view. Perhaps an academy should only promote this core view. Nonetheless, silly moustaches may be just the thing to get this show on the road.

Have to go, have a good one
