I've completed Woman with the Hat (Matisse 005). Great fun! I'm
very impatient to do my own, but think I will stick to the
plan. I've already expanded my experience of color, shape and
pattern. They are not slavish copies, and I very much like my
interpretations. Rather than risk falling to quickly into my old
painting patterns, I think I will continue to play in Matisse's
world. I do, though, have two future paintings in mind.

The Universe is uncaused, like a net of jewels in which each is a
reflection of all the others in a fantastic, interrelated harmony without end.
