The interesting thing about the UK is that we have a long history of
ignoring the laws we don't like. Or finding a way around them. And if
all else fails we have a riot. UK history is not exactly a litany of
peace and love!

Thanks. A perceptive insight. No doubt you're right, except for bureaucrats
being "arch conservative." They are conservative in the sense they don't
like change. But since they are in favor of big government enforcing ever
broader regulations, they are leftists. We on the right want smaller
government and less regulation.
