Yes, a primary principle of Alexander Technique is that we are
pyscho-physical organisms - so Mind and Body are merely different, but not
separate, aspects of the individual.

Of course, one affects the other. The difficulty comes when a person with
poor posture (bad use) seeks to improve that use: when shown a better way of
using themselves it will initially feel wrong when compared to their
habitual way; Alexander called this 'faulty sensory appreciation' and it is
the main reason why Alexander Technique is difficult to learn without the
aid of a teacher. I first learned about this technique 25 years ago and my
confidence in its effectiveness and that it is based on sound principles has
not diminished over the years.
